*Please note that I am unable to perform inspection services within the Township of Lake of Bays. As Deputy Chief Building Official for that township, it may be a conflict of interest to perform home inspections there. However, I would be happy to answer any questions you may have or try to provide you with any information you need. I apologize for any inconvenience.
Buying a home is a big decision. It can be a very exciting time. It can also be a very stressful and emotional time. A professional home inspection can make things simpler by objectively pointing out any problems or defects as well as the general condition of the home.
If your house is on the market or you are planning to put it on the market, a home inspection can be a valuable tool in understanding the true condition of your home. An unbiased home inspection can point out any issues so they can be dealt with before they might cause a sale to fall through.
A properly functioning septic system is essential for most homes in rural areas. While the septic system is typically not the first thing on a homeowner’s or homebuyer’s mind, it can be a big problem if it fails. A septic inspection can provide valuable information on the current condition of the system and can help prevent unexpected costs.
An inspection of wood burning appliances (such as fireplaces and wood or pellet stoves) can give you the peace of mind you need when buying or selling a home. It is typically also a requirement when securing home insurance.
Most newly constructed homes in Ontario are covered by the Ontario New Home Warranty program. This program is administered by Tarion. However, it is up to you, the new home buyer, to find and report any deficiencies in your new home. We can help you be certain you haven’t missed anything.[/four_fifth_last]
